Tiffany Roerich Wafford, PhD, MSTM, MLS(ASCP), SBB, is an Assistant Professor at The University of Texas at San Antonio in the Department of Pathology & Laboratory Medicine and in the Division of Medical Laboratory Sciences, and is the Assistant Director of the Histocompatibility and Immunogenetics Laboratory at University Health in San Antonio, Texas. Dr. Wafford holds a bachelor’s degree in Clinical Laboratory Sciences, a master’s degree in Transfusion Medicine, and a PhD in Health Sciences with Medical Laboratory Specialization. She is certified as a Medical Laboratory Scientist and Specialist in Blood Banking through the American Society for Clinical Pathology and is in post-doctoral training in Histocompatibility & Immunogenetics for clinical laboratory directorship. Dr. Wafford is the current President of the Texas Association of Clinical Laboratory Science and serves on several state and national committees.
