David Wald, MD, PhD is a physician scientist with a research focus in hematologic malignancies, cancer immunology and cell therapy. He is a Professor in Pathology at Case Western Reserve University and University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center where he serves as the Director of the Histocompaitiblity and Immunoegenetics Lab. His recent research work has been heavily focused in the development of manufacturing processes that can lead to improvements in CAR-T and NK cell therapies. He has been actively involved in the development and clinical translational of multiple products in early phase clinical trials including CAR-T products that are manufactured in less than 1 day.
