Rafaela Miranda Barbosa is a Ph.D. candidate in Basic and Applied Immunology at the University of São Paulo, Brazil. She completed an international research stay at Nantes Université, France, within the CAPES/COFECUB program (2024–2025). She holds a Master’s degree in Tropical Medicine and Infectious Diseases from the Federal University of Triângulo Mineiro, Brazil, and a Bachelor’s degree in Biomedicine from the State University of Minas Gerais, Brazil. Her doctoral research focuses on the analysis of immune checkpoint molecules and classical HLA in kidney cancer, as well as the development of strategies to impute HLA alleles from whole-exome sequencing data.
