Katie Mellon (MS, MLS(ASCP)CM) has worked in the field of HLA for over 5 years at Albany Medical College in Albany, NY where she is a Clin Tech Specialist. She is currently the chair of the Technologist Affairs Committee, and serves on the Laboratory Professionals Recruitment Initiative Taskforce, and National Clinical Affairs Committee. Her first ASHI meeting was last year in Anaheim, and she is grateful to be attending again this year in Orlando (even though she will miss her 2 cats)! Since the ASHI meeting falls during football season, it only seemed right for her to end her bio with this: Go Bills!
