Dr. Sam Ho is the Laboratory Director at Gift of Hope Organ & Tissue Donor Network, one of 55 federally designated organ procurement organizations (OPO) in the U.S. In addition, he serves as the consulting Laboratory Director for three other OPO-based laboratories, including the Center for Organ Recovery & Education in Pittsburgh, PA; Mid-America Transplant in St. Louis, MO; and NJ Sharing Network in New Providence, NJ. He also serves on the Medical Advisory Boards of these OPOs.

Dr. Ho is an Adjunct Associate Professor of Medicine at the Michigan State University College of Human Medicine. He has over 60 peer-reviewed publications. Dr. Ho has been an active member of ASHI serving on several boards and committees, including the Accreditation Review Board (ARB), the American College of Histocompatibility & Immunogenetics (ACHI) Board of Directors, the ACHI Laboratory Director Exam Committee, the National Clinical Affairs Committee, and the External Affairs Committee.
