Aleksandar Senev, MD, PhD, is an Associate Director of the Transplant Immunology Laboratory at the Northwestern University Comprehensive Transplant Center and a Research Assistant Professor at the Feinberg School of Medicine at Northwestern University. He earned his medical degree from the Medical Faculty in Skopje, North Macedonia, and his PhD in biomedical sciences from KU Leuven, Belgium, in 2020. Dr. Senev is a fellow of the European Board of Transplant Immunology (EBTI) and the American College of Histocompatibility & Immunogenetics (ACHI). His research focuses on the role of HLA and non-HLA antibodies in transplantation, their impact on antibody-mediated rejection, deciphering the immunogenicity of HLA determinants, and improving risk stratification in solid organ transplantation. Dr. Senev has published over 40 articles in peer-reviewed journals.
