Zheng Xu, Ph.D., is an Associate Research Scientist at Columbia University Medical Center. His research focuses on alloantigen-specific CD8⁺ T regulatory cells, with the goal of uncovering the mechanisms underlying their generation and function. At the molecular level, Dr. Xu’s work investigates potential ligands and interacting molecules of the immune checkpoint receptor ILT3, a key regulator of immune tolerance. Through this research, he aims to advance the development of diagnostic tools to enable immune monitoring in transplant patients.
