Nicholas Pollock, BS, PhD Candidate, is a doctoral researcher specializing in human immunogenetics. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry and is currently pursuing his PhD in Human Medical Genetics and Genomics at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus. He has a background in next-generation sequencing (NGS), Oxford Nanopore sequencing, and the development of bioinformatic analysis pipelines. His research aims to generate a high-resolution reference database of diverse human MHC genomic haplotypes, providing new tools to study immune system diversity and its implications for health and disease. Nicholas has experience integrating experimental sequencing approaches with computational analyses to address challenges in assembling and annotating complex genomic regions. Nicholas brings expertise in both experimental and computational approaches, with a strong interest in developing tools and resources that enable high-resolution characterization of complex genomic regions.
